Karen got into advertising by holding the world’s most expensive bake sale, selling $500 cookies in order to pick up a trophy in Cannes. Since then, she’s become an award winning creative, working with companies such as Under Armour, Google, Nike, and Walmart. During her career, she’s pitched brands, led brands, and even created one from scratch.
Karen most recently served as the Executive Creative Director at Bose, helping to lead the brand through the biggest transformation in the company’s history.
Prior, she was at MullenLowe, creatively leading healthcare brands through COVID, one of the most unprecedented times for the category. She also spent time as Group Creative Director at Havas Chicago, leading teams and work on consumer packaged goods, quick service restaurants and America’s largest trade association. Prior to Havas, she spent time at Under Armour, working on creative and strategic opportunities, from brand and product marketing, to future planning. She helped define the social voice for Under Armour, launch UA HealthBox at CES and led the creation of UA Fast Physical, a digital engagement experience that has expanded internationally including the 2016 Olympics. Karen also spent time at agencies in DC, NYC & Portland, including R/GA & Johannes Leonardo.
Karen is passionate about championing female creative talent and leadership in the industry. In 2016 she became the Founder and Director of the DC chapter of SheSays, a global networking platform for women. She led the community to over 1,000 members and in 2019 she started a Boston chapter.
